Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Coastal Plain from Apalachicola River drainage in Florida to to Lake Pontchartrain drainage in Louisiana, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit flowing pools and runs of headwaters, creeks, and small rivers. Adults occur usually over sand and near vegetation (Ref. 86798). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
