Family:  Psilorhynchidae (Mountain carps)
Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal
Distribution:  Asia: India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in hill streams and rapids (Ref. 4832). Inhabits shallow running streams with pebbly and sandy bottom, usually associated with hard substrates (Ref. 41236).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 23 February 2010 Ref. (120744)
