Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobionellinae
Max. size:  3.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 5 - 40 m
Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea: western basin and the Adriatic Sea to Israel and northern Sinai, Egypt.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs inshore over sand (Ref. 4345). Benthic and free swimming (Ref. 92840).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 March 2014 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
