Max. size:  1.8 cm SL (female)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 275 - 2275 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Crozet Basin.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 37-37; Anal soft rays: 30-30; Vertebrae: 41-41. Coronal pore present, 1st temporal and 6th infraorbital pores absent, very small eye (13% HL), low gill slit, superior mouth, and pale skin.
Biology:  Collected from a midwater trawl (Ref. 42989). Maximum length based on a juvenile specimen (Ref. 42989).
