Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  2.48 cm SL (male/unsexed); 2.53 cm SL (female)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 29 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: known from 3 specimens from Philippines and Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Scale pockets strongly outlined with chromatophores. Fifth pelvic fin ray short (70-75% of fourth) with only a single branch point; characterized further by having longitudinal scale series 27-28; predorsal scales 12-15; ctenoid body scales, cycloid on pectoral fin base and breast; absence of scales on cheek and opercle of adult; absence of pelvic frenum; posterior nasal opening with raised rim, separate from anterior margin of eye; cheek with two horizontal rows of papillae; depth of body 4.0 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Inhabits reef crevices (Ref. 90102).
