Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in pairs (Ref. 86760). Scale-eater (Ref. 7343). Exhibit prolonged biparental guarding of the fry after mouthbrooding (Ref. 86760).
