Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Chinese Taipei.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 160-160. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: inside of anterior-nostril tube with two papillae; dorsal-fin origin well behind tip of pectoral fin, distance from the tip to the origin of dorsal fin 0.6 times of the fin; absence of teeth on maxilla and vomer; 25 branchial aches; vertebral formula 12-69-160 (Ref. 133139)
