Pholis nea Peden & Hughes, 1984

Family:  Pholidae (Gunnels), subfamily: Pholinae
Max. size:  7.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southern Hokkaido (Japan). Pholis ornata (Girard, 1854) reported from Peter the Great Bay and the Korean Peninsula (Japan Sea) may be this species. However, some authors classify this as a subspecies of Pholis ornata.
