Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Mediterranean Sea and adjacent northeast Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Uncommon species (Ref. 34024). Found on the deeper parts of the continental shelf (Ref. 6555). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
