Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 1160 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: off northeast Tasmania, Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 62-62; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 56-56; Vertebrae: 69-69. Caudal-fin rays 8; pectoral girdle with 3 round radials; chin pores in a pit, interspace equal to one pore diameter; gill opening 0.8 eye, ventral end on horizontal with lower margin of eye; pectoral without rudimentary rays, upper lobe long, 76 HL; head 19.3 SL, preanal 33.5 SL; color brown with paler areas, skin thin, peritoneum black (Ref. 42734).
Biology:  Found on the continental slope. Benthic (Ref. 75154).
