Max. size:  14.21 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Sistan basin in Iran.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Without scales and with deeply forked caudal fin. Adipose keel above the caudal peduncle well developed. Anal opening located distinctly anterior to the anterior anal fin origin (Ref. 31729); slit-shaped posterior nare opening (vs. ovoid or roundish in all epigean species of Paracobitis in the Middle East except P. longicauda and P. rhadinaea) (Ref. 97574).
