Adipose keel above the caudal peduncle well developed. Anal opening located distinctly anterior to the anterior anal fin origin (Ref. 31729); slit-shaped posterior nare opening (vs. ovoid or roundish in all epigean species of Paracobitis in the Middle East except P. longicauda and P. rhadinaea) (Ref. 97574). | |||
