Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-15; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 3-4
Biology:  Inhabits shallow Zostera marina beds and rocky reefs (Ref. 559). Dorsal spine venomous (Ref. 559).
