Family:  Schilbeidae (Schilbid catfishes)
Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; pH range: 6.5 - 7.5; dH range: 10 - 25, amphidromous
Distribution:  Asia: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit freshwaters and tidal rivers. Its bright color and small size attract aquarists. Oviparous, eggs are unguarded (Ref. 205).
