Oxynoemacheilus galilaeus (Günther, 1864)

Family:  Nemacheilidae (Brook loaches)
Max. size:  5.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eurasia: endemic to the three freshwater lakes of the Jordan River basin, Lakes Tiberias, Hula and Muzairib, although only found in the Muzairib in recent years.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in shallow waters near the lake shore, among stones and roots of willows (Ref. 92318).
