Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan.
Closely related to Ostracion cubicum from Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs near shore (incl. semi-enclosed sea areas) on rock bottoms (Ref. 11230).
