Max. size:  5.9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Umpqua River drainage in Oregon, USA.
Diagnosis:  Oregonichthys kalawatseti is very similar to O. crameri but can be distinguished by having unscaled or partly scaled breast, slightly subterminal mouth, and 34-40 scales on lateral line (Ref. 86798).
Biology:  Adults inhabit sluggish sand- and gravel-bottomed runs, pools and backwaters of creeks and small rivers as well as sloughs. They are usually found near vegetations (Ref. 86798). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
