This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: complete lateral line with 62-63 scales; pre-dorsal scales 28-29; two rudimentary pair of barbels (rostral and maxillary); tubercles on the snout and lower jaw absent; blue short vertical bars on the upper side of the lateral line (Ref. 133098). | |||
