Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Rio Grande from mouth to northern central New Mexico, USA (unknown from Pecos River).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in the main channel of Rio Grande, usually over sand and often in turbid water (Ref. 86798).
IUCN Red List Status: Extinct (EX); Date assessed: 03 December 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
