Distribution:  North America: Tar River drainage in North Carolina, USA to Altamaha River drainage in Georgia, USA; St. Johns River drainage in Florida, USA; Aucilla River drainage to Choctawhatchee River drainage in Florida and Alabama, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits pools and runs over sand and mud, usually in clear or tannin-stained creeks and small rivers.
