Max. size:  1.95 cm SL (male/unsexed); 8.2 cm SL (female)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 1000 - 2200 m
Distribution:  Apparently restricted to Eastern Pacific: Gulf of Panama.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-17; Anal soft rays: 4-5. Distinguishing characteristics of metamorphosed females:
