Family:  Hemerocoetidae (Indo-Pacific duckbills)
Max. size:  6.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 4 - 5 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan, Thailand and the Philippines.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sandy bottoms along shore lines (Ref. 37438). Abundant around the low water line spring tide. Caught by small beam trawl and push net at depths not exceeding 5 m deep. Feeds mainly on mysids (Ref. 37434).
