Family:  Zoarcidae (Eelpouts), subfamily: Lycodinae
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 150 - 600 m
Distribution:  North Atlantic: Scandinavian fjords from Skagerrak to Finnmark and Kola Bay; also Grand Banks off Newfoundland. Reported from Iceland.
Biology:  Found in muddy bottoms (Ref. 35388). Benthic (Ref. 58426). Feeds on polychaetes, crustaceans and bivalves (Ref. 35388).
