This species is distinguished by the following characters: the scales extend ventral to second dorsal fin along septum to hypural base, well-developed on caudal peduncle; mostly cycloid scales with a few ctenoid ones along midline; 19 pectoral rays; no conical teeth on lower jaw; spotted midlateral stripe slightly ventral to septum (Ref. 39342). | |||
