| Biology: | High-oceanic and mesopelagic species (Ref. 4066), found between 550-1,000 m during the day and at 40-250 m by night (maximum abundance in equatorial waters at 50-100 m) (Ref. 4479). Small juveniles non-migratory (Ref. 4479). | |||
