Family:  Procatopodidae (African lampeyes), subfamily: Procatopodinae
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: upper Cuango and Kasai river drainages in Angola and possibly the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 47311). Also reported from the Okavango in Angola (Ref. 120641).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in small rivers and brooks (Ref. 3788, 47311). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
