Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: rivers Ituri and Dja (middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 1880, 11970, 46901) in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Cameroon respectively, although some doubt is cast on the identity of the specimens from the Dja by Trewavas 1974 (p.344).
