Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7; dH range: 5 - 14
Distribution:  South America: Guianan coastal drainages, from the Demerara River in Guyana, eastward to the Cottica River in Suriname and to Araguari river basin, Amapá, Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  In rivers.
