| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 29-31; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8; Vertebrae: 24-24. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: upper pectoral fin base with a black axillary spot; D 29-32; A 8; scales above lateral line 6, below 11; eye diameter 22.9-28.9% HL; interorbital width 32.0-38.0% HL; gill rakers 5-6 + 15-18 = 21-24; no mental barbel, last well-developed pleural rib on 7th vertebra; 11 swim bladder appendages; vertebrae 10 + 14 = 24 (Ref. 90119). | |||
