Distribution:  Africa: Congo River basin, from the marine lower Congo (Ref. 51114) up to the upper Lualaba (Ref. 2970), in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of Congo. Also reported from Lake Tanganyika (Ref. 4967).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits lakes and large rivers (Ref. 4967).
