Diagnosis: | This species is distinguished from the other species of H. lacerdae group in having 6-8 pores of the laterosensory system along the ventral surface of dentary (vs. 4-6 in H. brasiliensis and H. intermedius, always 5 in H. australis and 4 in H. curupira); 43-48 scales along lateral line (vs. 38-43 H. brasiliensis and 34-39 in H. curupira) (Ref. 81195). | |||
