Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Oceania: known only from the Morehead River in Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-14; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 10-11
Biology:  Adults inhabit clear, rainforest creeks over gravel and cobble bottoms (Ref. 2847). Eggs are guarded and fanned by the male parent (Ref. 205).
