Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 3 - 9 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria and Victoria Nile.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs over hard (mostly) and soft substrates, in sheltered and less often, exposed areas (Ref. 4983). Feeds on small fishes (Ref. 558).

Threat to humans:  harmless
