Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 25 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Baja California, Mexico to Ecuador.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished by having the following characteristics: broad head; first dorsal has VII spines; pelvic fins completely separate; body with cycloid scales extending from the base of the caudal fin forward to the third dorsal-fin spine (Ref. 92840).
Biology:  Inhabits algae-covered rocky or rubble reefs (Ref. 11482).

Threat to humans:  harmless
