Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  2.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Ryukyu Islands, Palau, and the Rowley Shoals (Western Australia).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-9. SL to about 28 mm. Body highly compressed and without scales except on the caudal peduncle on some specimen.
Biology:  Live among live coral branches (e.g. Pocillopora and Stylophora) (Ref. 1602). Also found in inshore channels in Acropora thickets (Ref. 48637).
