Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  1.67 cm SL (male/unsexed); 1.5 cm SL (female)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Fiji.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8. This species is distinguished by the following characters: complete cephalic sensory-canal pore system (pattern 1); branched pectoral-fin rays; dorsal/anal-fin formula 9/8;absence of dark occipital spot; heavy peppering of large dark chromatophores on pectoral-fin base; across the entire caudal peduncle is a broad dark bar; 3 light undulating lines at the side of the head (Ref. 107299).
