Max. size:  16.07 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range - 80 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southern sea of Korea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 124-128; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-14; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 102-103; Vertebrae: 141-143. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: total vertebrae 141-143; D CXXIV- CXXVIII (=124-128), 11-14; A I,102-103; caudal-fin rays 9-10; no pelvic-fin; a dark band on posterior of orbit; pectoral-fin length 36.1-39.5% of head length; parhypural without a small spine ventrally (Ref. 91689).
