Family:  Percidae (Perches), subfamily: Etheostomatinae
Max. size:  5.6 cm TL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 2 years
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Duck River system in central Tennessee, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit rocky pools of headwaters and creeks (Ref. 5723, 10294). Feed on midge larvae and microcrustaceans (Ref. 10294). Eggs are found clustered on underside of stone and guarded by males (Ref. 7043).
