Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 481 - 1574 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Wake Island, Guam, and Hawaii.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0. Median fins without rays (Ref. 9841).
Biology:  Largest known hagfish.
