Distribution:  Oceania: known only from the Sepik and Ramu rivers of Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-9
Biology:  Mostly found in floodplain lakes.
