Family:  Serranidae (Sea basses: groupers and fairy basslets)
Max. size:  21 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 13 - 80 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California to Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Biology not known (Ref. 9342). Probably of no commercial interest due to a small median size and because it is apparently scarce.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 01 May 2008 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
