Max. size:  10.8 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 11.2 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India, Myanmar, Thailand and northwestern Malaya (Ref. 4832). Reported from the Mekong basin (Ref. 12975).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal soft rays: 16-17
Biology:  Occurs in flowing streams with sandy bottom (Ref. 4832). Found in rapid-running mountain streams of the middle Mekong (Ref. 12975).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 31 January 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
