Max. size:  16.5 cm TL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 9 years
Environment:  bathydemersal; freshwater; depth range 25 - 600 m
Distribution:  Asia: Endemic to Lake Baikal, Russia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-16; Anal soft rays: 13-14
Biology:  Occurs mainly at a depth of 100 m where the bottom is silty (Ref. 2058).
