Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  4.57 cm SL (male/unsexed); 4.07 cm SL (female)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 9 - 12 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Taiwan (Ref. 50606) with range extended to the Philippines (Ref. 127519).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 11-11. Gill opening extending forward to below hind margin of preopercle; caudal fin about equal to head length, 3.2-3.6 in SL; second or third dorsal spine longest, 4.25 - 5.8 in SL; caudal fin equal to shorter than head; longitudinal rows of dark spots on body, the lower row largest and midlateral; a dark brown streak behind corner of mouth and a shorter parallel one above it (Ref. 50606).
