Max. size:  13.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific slope of southeastern Costa Rica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits creeks and rivers, in backwaters or even waters of moderate current velocity between 16 and 700 m elevation. Lives over rocky, sand or gravel bottoms. Eats insects, seed and fruit (Ref. 36880).
