Max. size:  2.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 8 - 52 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Florida, USA and the Bahamas to Central America and Lesser Antilles.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in schools near large coral columns and heads (Ref. 7251). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 01 March 2011 (A3ce) Ref. (120744)
