Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 2 - 25
Distribution:  South America: western Amazon River basin in eastern Ecuador and Loreto, Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Forms schools. Occurs sympatrically with C. elegans.
