Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: England: Lakes Haweswater, Ullswaterand, Brotherswater and red Tarn (Cumbria) in England, UK.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lacustrine, in open water. Spawns in January to February in shallow bays on stones and gravel. Feeds on crustaceans and insects. Population in Haveswater strongly declined by water abstraction and cormorant predation (Ref. 59043).
