Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 15 - 210 m
Distribution:  Europe: Lake Thun, Switzerland.
Diagnosis:  It is a small whitefish species with moderate pigmentation on its fins and body. Its flanks above the lateral line display a brown-orange coloration. The species has a slender, elongated body, a long head, and large eyes set in a thick, triangular-shaped socket. The snout is fleshy and rounded, and it possesses a relatively low number of short gill rakers (15-27).
