Distribution:  Asia: Lake Baikal in northern Siberia. Also enters the tributaries Kichera, Verkhnyaya Anagara, Chivyrkui, Barguzin and Selenga.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Important food fish in the Lake Baikal.
